Sluggish yet Fun Easter Day

Exceptionally warm for a spring daytime in Elk Grove, Tyke got a little simple egg hunting at my sister's backyard.Hubby found a sponggebob basketbag for all the goodies we have for our tike.He got out excitedly to find the hidden eggs but obvious enough to see them all hanging in my sister's flowering planted lemon and pear trees.He was so ecstatic opening up the colorful eggs with coated M&M's eggs inside this noontime.

Sluggish day for me after an exhausting evening with friends at Macaroni Grill and Fox & G0ose bar in downtown Sacramento.It was a nice little getaway from work for my hubby and Judith's husband as well.We all had fun talking for almost 4 hours and small sip of drinks in between.I ended up sleeping at 2 a.m from disturbing heartburn.Finally,zZz...

Today,hubby took us for early dinner at Greek Village Inn somewhere near Ardenway.The moment we sat down and ready for our ordred appetizer,plate was half empty.It was delish,indeed!Alas,we found an authentic Greek restaurant in the city.I ordered petro sole fish with asparagus as the special of the day,surprisingly delectable for that same amount of money they paid for a dish of pasta we had lastnight.Lamb chops was real scrumptious.Impressive food really!!!The best so far in the city...I'd be looking forward to bringing my sisters here for them to try out one flavorsome restaurant in the city.

Mouth watering Twist of Famous Adobo recipe

4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 bay leaves(optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 chicken thighs or drumsticks(skin on)/pork belly
1 whole ripe tomatoes
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp salt

DIRECTIONS

In a large pot, combine the water, soy sauce, peppercorns,tomato,garlic and salt. Mix together, add chicken pieces and simmer over low heat (uncovered) until chicken is cooked through and tender (25 to 35 minutes).

A Foodie Hunts for Authentic Mex

After two nights in a row of trying to find out the credible and distinctive Mexican cuisine,we determined from last night's dinner at Sol Azteca restaurant in Folsom.Undoubtedly,we loved the tortilla chips,salsa,green enchaladas I ordered and hubby's chili con queso favorite.It's somewhat a little inferior to what my hubby's all- time favorite Mamacitas or Fiesta Hut's distinctive Mexican restaurant in Bergen County,NJ for more than 15 years of business.

Happy enough to have tried it and we'll be looking forward to dining there again with family and friends in our next visit.

Sweet Cravings at Folsom

Yesterday,hubby and I ended up driving to Folsom to finalize our new apartment application.Interesting enough,we were all craving for ice cream although it was a bit windy out.Drove around E. Bidwell Street and ice cream parlor was unfortunately closed for renovation.Whew!Then we decided to just jump to the nearby grocery outlet,Bel-Air.At first step, we found fresh looking ripe mangoes.Lucky day for my little Tyke for he loves mangoes than anything else.We grabbed some and bought my ultimate favorite ice cream,Haagen-Dazs.Sweet comfort for a busy and windy day out in Folsom.

Frozen dinner Monday

After having a really tied up schedule the past few days,I opted on just having a frozen dinner from Trader Joe's.My husband wanted to eat out for dinner since he wanted to treat me since he got his first paycheck from his first job in California.That frozen cod fish was surprisingly delish!The cashier was so right to tell me that it's one of his favorites.Yum-O~

Tonight is all about relaxing and enjoying my laptop...While hubby's enjoying his Call of Duty game in his pc.Our little Tyke on the otherhand is also enjoying his bigscreen tv by himself watching Spongebob all over again...Tomorrow is going to be another Spongebob day for him and I would be experimenting my newlyfound recipes online.

I'll see you guys tomorrow!It's bedtime for our littletyke.Goodnite!
